Jamaica Plain is located southwest of downtown Boston, with easy access to the city via public transportation, including the Orange Line and numerous bus routes. Wake Up the Earth Festival, the Jamaica Plain Garden Tour, Jamaica Pond Lantern Parade, Jamaica Plain Open Studios, and the JP Music Festival are some of the annual events you’ll find here. There are wonderful green spaces such as the Arnold Arboretum, a large botanical garden, and Jamaica Pond, a popular destination for walking, jogging, and picnicking.
